From Auckland

One

Cross the Harbour Bridge heading north and stay on the Northern Motorway (Hwy 1) until it ends at Orewa.

Two

Continue north on Highway 1, through Warkworth, Wellsford and Whangarei. Another 55 kms beyond Whangarei will bring you to Kawakawa.

Three

At Kawakawa, turn left, staying on Highway 1 and following signs to Kaitaia. Its about 100 kms from Kawakawa to Kaitaia.

Four

As you enter Kaitaia, take the road signposted to Ahipara. This will be a left turn.

Five

Take the road west to the village of Ahipara, about 15 kms from Kaitaia.

Six

Drive past the Ahipara School on your left and take the first left turn. This will be Foreshore Road. (The village of Ahipara will be to the right as you make this left turn.)

Seven

Keep going for about a kilometre until you see a beach car-park on your right. Opposite, on the left, you will see Tasman Heights Road. Turn left onto Tasman Heights Rd.

Eight

Follow Tasman Heights Rd. up the hill until it curves and narrows and you'll eventually see the "Siesta" signs. We're on the right.
